Overview

Parsely is a free, open-source Chrome extension that lets you chat with any webpage using AI. This privacy policy explains what data Parsely accesses, how it is used, and what protections are in place.

The short version: Parsely does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Everything stays between you and your browser.


What data does Parsely access?

Website content

When you open the Parsely side panel on a tab, the extension reads the text content of that page. This is the core functionality — it allows you to ask questions about the page you're viewing.

Tab metadata

Parsely reads the title and URL of your open tabs to power the @Tab cross-reference feature. This data is used locally and is never transmitted to any external server.

Claude.ai session cookies

Parsely uses your existing claude.ai login session to communicate with Claude. It includes your session cookies in requests to claude.ai endpoints using credentials: 'include'. Parsely does not read, extract, store, or log these cookies. They are handled entirely by the browser's built-in cookie mechanism.
